Attention all parents with small children! Apple has delivered a new app store branch that has age appropriate apps for your little ones.
The Kids App Store store is not a separate mobile application. It’s a new “Kids” category in the Apple App Store where apps are broken down by age range – 5 and under, 6 to 8, and 9 to 11.
I should mention that Apple now approves of iTunes account holders age 13+, as long as they are funneled through an approved educational institution. So if your teenager shows up at home with a new Apple ID, the school issued it. If you need to know how to limit what apps on the iPad or iPhone can use their Apple ID, please reach out. I’m quite the controlling parent when it comes to that and am literally an Apple iOS Expert. Seriously I can help.
On a related App Store note – There’s a new feature called Apps Near Me which makes it easy to find apps relative to your particular location. Basically, apps others have downloaded near you. How near, well, I don’t think they’ll get that granular for a little while. For now, think more of what’s trending at your current city and state level, not ‘at my school, the office or this convention venue’.
